About GCTC
GESEA Cairo Training Centre (GCTC) is the first GESEA accredited centre in the middle east and north Africa. GCTC offers the excellence in gynecological endoscopy by providing hands-on experience and structured learning, it empowers professionals with the skills they need to advance in minimally invasive surgery.
Why Choose GCTC?
Endoscopy requires both psychomotor and surgical skills. It is vital that these psychomotor skills
are trained and tested in a safe environment prior to training in the OR. It improves patient care
and greatly increases educational efficiency and surgical competence of the surgeon.
Pathway of GESEA programme
to becoming a Minimal Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon
- Open to All gynecologists including residents and specifically aimed at residents
- Starts with the GESEA Level 1 e-learning module
- Incorporates practical psychomotor skill exercises for laparoscopy (LASTT1, SUTT1) and hysteroscopy (HYSTT1)
- Exam consists of a theoretical and multiple practical tests
- The GESEA Level 1 Certificate serves as a license to start training in the operating room
- Open to both gynaecologists and reproductive surgeons
- Starts with the in-depth GESEA Level 2 e-learning module
- Incorporates advanced practical psychomotor skill exercises for laparoscopy (LASTT2, SUTT2) and hysteroscopy (HYSTT2)
- Exam consists of a theoretical and multiple practical tests
- The GESEA Training and Level 2 Certificate serves as a license for basic endoscopic procedures
- Surgeons who have the necessary surgical competence can start the application for the GESEA Level 2 Diploma
